Reconnecting Communities in the Galilee

What happens to a close-knit community when it’s forced to scatter? That’s the reality for Hanita, a kibbutz on Israel’s northern border with Lebanon. Since the war began, the residents of Hanita have faced enormous upheaval.
At first, they stayed in hotels. Then, they were hosted by other kibbutzim. Now, many are back in the Galilee, living as close as possible to their original homes. For the children, it’s about being near their friends. For the adults, it’s about rebuilding the connections that have always been their foundation.
Why “Together Again” Matters
Hanita’s strength comes from its sense of community, but physical distance has made maintaining that togetherness a challenge. That’s where “Together Again” steps in.
Our latest program focuses on adults—those who often put their own needs aside to support others. Over four guided outings in nature, they can relax, reconnect, and start envisioning the future. They are about restoring the connections that make communities like Hanita thrive. No distractions, no pressure—just time to talk, laugh, and plan for what’s next.
